Looking back from here
Where I stand like a deer
Freed from mere thirst
As calm waters thrust
From the ancient rocks
Days have long past
Nights too were vast
When like a seedling
I grew from weakling
Upon the ancient rocks
You did stand by me
And there were glee
The reason of you
Like dawning of dew
Unto these ancient rocks
At a point the sun shut
Like the deer dead shot
No running brooks
Fishes on the hooks
Beneath the ancient rocks
You broke the bridge
That would ridge
Me to the realm,
And land of my dream
Onto these ancient rocks
But now looking forward
I saw not one was awkward
In the both soft and tough
Days and night become rough
To smoothen the ancient rocks!

Hmmmm!
Nice!
Typical of Ostar…
@Seun-Odukoya, here when an elder coughs (hums)
the spirits listen attentively. You are an elder here.
The Muse listens.
Very nice, though towards the end, I kinda got lost in the “ancient rocks.”
@chimzorom thanks dear,
you are found! Actually the stanzas
did come, but its all about the life’s
vicissitudes.
@ablyguy the able guy
that mark of the hawk!
Dalu.
Of course
Short and sharp lines. Good.
@Kaycee loads of thanks
@Ndaba short and sharp is the property of stars. You are a starrider!
I like it.
Typical of Ostar of course.
Well done.
