We watched them
Walk down the aisle
Others that is
You and I
Spectators we were
To the union of body and soul.
You saw them
Come in a pair
Those others that is
You and I
Became the watched
The consequence of my sin
And then you laughed.
All four of us
Two tainted with guilt
One silenced
By uncertain suspicion
And you the last
Free to laugh us
A wedding song.
(Inspired by the song “wedding song” by Tracy Chapman)

I no go lie. I did not – do not understand this one.
Cheaters cheaters!
Hmmm, Dotta, very perceptive.
Na wa!
I re-read it after seeing the comment @Dotta.
It made more sense then; but I still don’t grasp it quite well.
Poetic though… I guess I lack the perception.
Well done @esosa

Nice one.
Hehehe…Tracy chapman again… ‘Free to laugh us’….nigerian english or an omission of (at)?…Simply difficult…now datx a paradox…Well done..
Hey Bub, it was neither. Just poetic licence. Cheers.
Yep, I don’t understand this too. I like the beginning, made more sense to me than the end.
