As if serene silence filled the place
I traced…
I saw… I felt… I wondered…
What practiced quietness!!
Tensed with cold
Sweeping my mind
Or does it linger still?
Such peace or peace? I ask
My mouth gapes open
And speaks incoherently…
I traced its words …SI…LEN…CE…
A heart full of silent noise
I see…
A silent world
Eaten up in fraught silence
Such silence I envy not
Every one sells his conscience to it
For a coin of Kobo
For it intoxicates like the poison
You watch while it ravages your rights
Does education and knowledge count?
Do they really count?
When they are rendered useless
When they cannot stand for truth
Do degrees count?
When they’re fabricated and bogus
Do gray hairs count?
When they’re covered with soot
When they’re black with foolish wit
When truth’s beauty is hidden within its roots
Does being good looking count?
When the image underneath is covered with falsity
When a moth-eaten-void within
Everybody is tongue-tied
As silence loots.

Nice poem, dealing wit d problems of our society.
I love ur use of irony-’A heart full of silence noise’
Nice written and keep it up.
Lovely lines…In some cases, silence is not so golden…Well done…$ß.
There’s a time, a place, season and purpose for everything…after the silence, the noise will surely come and quite loudly too.
We are a resilient people. we will overcome.
Nice. I love what I just read.
