I

Desolate, bitter and unhappy

So said I

When anger and venom

Through my veins

Coursed

Leaving me

Frightened and uncertain.

You

So young and unknowing

Wondering why

I choose to exist

When I could live

Said you of me

I am without

My muse

You are with

The carcass

Of my being.

I rant and rave

A scribbled dirge

Chasing my demons around

You splatter

Ink on paper

Offering a soothing hymnal

To still this raging storm.
