Listen!
Or read, or whatever
But by God, Just observe
As I bare my mind
Do take it the wrong way
I always prefer that.
I seethe from the sham
The cacophony and insolence
Of you teaching your betters
Even putting on airs
Like you know a thing.
“Wow, keep it up”
Please, Hush it up.
Up is where I belong
You didn’t need to say.
See, Because I’m a scribe
Therefore I write
Read well you may
Understand you may not
I am on the pedestal
You are the pedestal
Feel free to come up
But tramp not my work
Try write your own
“I love it!”
Shut up.
I wrote it.
I write what I like,
You read if you like.
Understand if you can
But please do not edit.
Don’t wonder at my rage
Its just that I hate
When you pretend to relate.
Least you should know
Its hard to be mates
With those you predate.
“Terrible!”
“Remarkable!”
Make up your minds
Its why I pay no mind
I know I am good
You know if you are
Don’t tell me to improve
Your reading should do
You don’t understand?
Boy, Its not the work
You need a higher stance
To elevate your mind
“This poem is so silly”
Come a little closer
And say that again
Straight to my face
And I scar your facade
The post might be bad
But Its not an exam
If there be any error
Guy, Its only a style
Or you may be the error.
I write for higher minds
“Sorry for your loss”
Dummy, Its fiction
None really died
Writers do lie
You think I can do better?
Yes, I agree
That your life needs be better
See you are no editor
Can tell by your comments
That You don’t have a job
Debate was not the intent
As shown by your comments
“Nice, I love it!”
Noise, who cares!
I impress me too
So do join the queue
Line is quite long.
True I have an ego
But see, there is a reason
I don’t need acclaim
Nor your dismay
I just do my own thing
And like my own way
I am not so impressed
By what you profess
I be the true judge
Of anything I post
I write for myself
Not for no reader.
Don’t love
Don’t hate
Don’t lol
Just be silently impressed.

Brashness is not always the key aight. I am out…
What is he/ she talking about. Oh, guess I forgot to add “lol”.
U called, I answered….didn’t take serious.
@chetachi.
You did good, @Kaycee, fiction or otherwise. I remembered I said a few things that was mentioned here to you some time ago, at some point. I don’t say much because I’m not online much either. Writers and critics, not just here in NS, have a need to fraternize for the sake of the audience out there, but most times, critics have a way of trumping writers’ works. Generally speaking, writers bother to listen to critics, but it isn’t the same thing with critics towards writers. If there’s no harmony between writers and critics, ‘fallacies’ are committed on both sides. A good middle ground is needed here, a very strong bridge that lasts a very good lifetime. Writing is inevitable, and so criticism is inevitable as well.
Thanks for reading.
You have some points.
Do come online more often.

Thanks a lot, dear.
Did anyone really take cognisance of the title? I think it tells you who’s voice it is…the voice of an NS writer addressing critics.. Its not Kaycee…its the NS writer…if anyone gets my drift.
@afronuts, I get your drift.
Thanks for reading
point vs. counterpoint. NS is getting berra.
I reserve my comments….tho I can see you have been causing trouble from word go! And no apologies I will ‘lol’ hahaha!
@zikora, me? Trouble? Those days were great fun as you can see from the comments. Do read the other NS Critics to writers.
These were the dsys of spirited discussions and crossed swords ….
*days, and so there was no NS Critics (To Writers)
@nicolebassey
Those were the days indeed.
There is an NS critics to writers too. Read it.
