The Administrators of the site are suggesting a meetup with the site members. This would be an opportunity for us to meet each other, relax and have some fun. It will also provide an interactive session where the members let admin know what they think about the site so far, what they wish to see, what they hope to achieve by being a part of the site and how they feel they can work with the admins to make the site more useful for everybody. The admin can also explain the vision behind the site, whether they think it is being achieved and suggest ways forward.
We’re thinking of Saturday the 8th of January 2011. It will be a day event, about 4 hours and will involve one or two workshop and Seminars and then networking and refreshment (Party). The site will partly sponsor but we want those who will attend to invest a little too, to show committment. We’re also calling for volunteers to join Remi Roy (co-ordinator) to make up the Planning Committee. Others are welcome to give feedback on this thread. We’re looking at the facilitators to invite, a central venue to use, fund raising, etc, and would be happy to hear from everyone.
To take part in the discussions please register on the SITE MATTERS group forum and put forward your opinions and suggestions. We’re looking forward to it.
